BMT
“Really enjoyed the session which was informative and thought provoking. Great presenters who were really knowledgable and used real-world examples which were useful”

BMT is a leading consulting and design firm in the maritime industry. To enhance their digital transformation efforts, they adopted Microsoft Copilot but needed help:

  • - Assessing team familiarity with AI and identifying opportunities for business innovation including ethical, social, and governance.

  • - Learning the basics of prompt engineering to maximize the potential of AI within daily roles.

  • - Develop AI confidence by training employees to use Microsoft Copilot within Office 365 applications.

BMT faced numerous challenges in embedding AI:

  • - With varying AI knowledge across different functions they needed an all-encompassing approach to build skills and confidence in using AI tools for practical applications.

  • - Working with sensitive data meant initial resistance to adopting AI and processes needed to be reframed as opportunities for innovation.

  • - Ensuring AI adoption efforts were sustainable and integrated with ESG goals, aligning with BMT’s core values.

  • - Encouraging a tentative audience to drive broader organizational change.

A tailored half-day workshop focused on practical implementation and strategic alignment across Research, Content Creation, Task Automation and Data Analysis which included:

  • - Identifying current AI maturity and opportunities for generative AI in business operations through foundational, hands-on training.

  • - Effective prompt engineering and AI Agent building to automate specific everyday tasks.

  • - Using Microsoft Copilot to streamline processes across Office 365 tools to share with their teams and advocate AI usage across the organization.

  • - A look at emerging AI platforms and tools, and mapping barriers to adoption to help create a team-based roadmap.

The workshop empowered BMT to make significant strides in their digital transformation journey:

  • - They increased productivity, saving a weekly average of 3.9 hours per person through streamlined workflows.

  • - Enhancing strategic alignment allowed the team to create a roadmap to overcome adoption barriers but still align with the organization’s core sustainability values.

  • - Inspired plans to scale the initiative across the organization, embedding a culture of curiosity and innovation.
