Case Study
OPRG (part of the Omnicom Group), is a global leader in marketing communications. Aware of genAI’s disruptive potential, they wanted to develop a strategy and engage senior leaders in its effective use to:
- Develop a clear strategy and roadmap to ensure that the leadership team were aligned on AI usage in the short, medium and long-term.
- Fully understand how to take advantage of AI’s potential and use it to increase revenue streams.
- Outline genAI’s capabilities while addressing relevant risks and ethical considerations. Whilst some leaders were already experimenting with AI, there was no clear direction.
Working closely with Omnicom and the FleishmannHillard agency for deployment, the training needed to:
- Build a clear understanding of AI's capabilities and limitations - managing expectations around genAI was crucial.
- Maximize the impact of AI workshops by identifying and focussing on specific business areas.
- Facilitate ideation and deployment strategies, ensuring alignment across the senior leadership team.
- Align session outcomes with ORPG and the Omnicom Group's overall AI strategy.
A full-day leadership bootcamp was centred around the overall OPRG and Omnicom strategy for AI to:
- Assess the organization’s AI readiness, explore the latest in generative AI, identify key innovators and dive into relevant case studies.
- Use hands-on demos to provide insights into the impact of AI on workflows, services, talent and organizational structures. This enabled development of an agile strategy, a measurable implementation plan and a customer-focused framework for adopting innovative technologies.
- Create MVPs using authorized AI tools and address data privacy and ethics, as well as identify quick wins across operations.
- Combine strategic planning and organizational flexibility to scale AI, identify best practice, develop a roadmap and address success factors.
The bootcamp with the senior leadership team was a huge success, resulting in increased AI confidence and actionable insights for AI integration:
- Leaders were equipped with practical AI planning skills, enabling strategic thinking around AI’s role across the business.
- Teams were inspired to create actionable frameworks to prioritize AI initiatives effectively.
- Fostering collaboration and future-focused ideation across diverse leadership roles.
